For fixed awnings rollup awnings and retractable awnings made of canvas or outdoor fabrics use a mild laundry detergent and lukewarm water.
Cloth awning cleaning.
Four ounces half cup of chlorine bleach.
Two ounces one fourth cup of natural soap.
Once the awning is dried you can leave it alone until the next cleaning.
Step 1 pour cool or lukewarm water into a bucket.
Once the entire surface of the awning has been soaked with cleaner let it sit for about 15 minutes.
Add 3 ounces of a mild laundry soap such as the kind used for baby clothes or delicate washables per gallon of water.

If stubborn stains persist you can use a diluted chlorine bleach soap mixture for spot cleaning of mildew roof run off and other similar stains.
Then leave the awning open and spread out to let it air dry completely.
Re dip the cloth as necessary so that cleaning solution reaches every inch of the fabric otherwise you might miss some of the mildew.

A great cleaning solution for fabric awnings is htd heavy duty detergent.
Prepare a special cleaning mixture.
If you took the awning down to clean it put it back up while it s still damp so it ll easily stretch to fit its mount.
You can also use a vinyl or fabric cleaner if you wish.
If your awnings are made of aluminum use a solvent especially created for it.
Hang the awning out to air dry and leave it until the next cleaning.
