Dish washing soaps and ph neutral soaps diluted with warm water are ideal or a commercial marble cleaner. Shake the mixture well so the two ingredients are mixed. Microfiber or chamois not any type of scrubber to wipe down the entire marble countertop. Marble surfaces should be cleaned with soft cotton cloths and clean rag mops along with neutral cleaners mild liquid dishwashing detergent mixed with water or stone cleaners. Clean marble tiles at least once a week using either a specially formulated marble cleanser or a mild non acid household cleaner. And definitely don t use the average bathroom grout cleaner or tub and tile type cleaners.

For a green alternative mix a tablespoon of baking powder into about a quart of 75 25 mix of white vinegar and water. Never use vinegar bleach or ammonia to clean marble. Wet the entire area with hot water then apply the cleaning.
