A warm water spray is the mildest cleaner for tile grout. For stubborn grout haze mop the floor with a mixture of 1 cup of white vinegar and 1 quart of warm water. Wring thoroughly as too much water can damage. The blade should easily chew through the grout.

If more remains repeat steps three and four until the tile is clean. Let the power tool do the work. Work at the grout with light to medium pressure until you ve removed all heavy deposits of grout and then rinse off the tile with clean water. Once the tile is clean and has no more hardened grout wipe over with a damp cloth and leave to dry.

Repeat the same process to scrub and rinse each small section of the floor until the entire tile installation is clean. Wipe with a dry cloth. To clean grout haze off your tiles dip a large tile sponge in a bucket of water wring it out and use it to scrub your tiles in a single direction. Grout is porous meaning it has minute spaces or holes that liquid can pass through.

Inspect the tile to make sure all dried grout is gone. The basic method for hardened grout removal use warm water and wipe it over the surface of the tiles with a sponge. You can also consider steam cleaners as they are one of most effective and eco friendly ways to clean grout lines. Clean the sponge frequently as you work and replace the rinse water as it gets dirty.

Protect your hands with rubber gloves and dip your cheesecloth or terry cloth in water. Once you remove the grout rinse the tile with water and wipe it dry with a towel. Then let the tiles dry completely before sealing the floor. Wait for the vinegar solution to stop bubbling and then scrub the grout with a scrub brush or toothbrush.

Additional ways to remove dried grout from porcelain. Remove grout haze with water and cheesecloth. Then using some fine wire wool rub gently over the grout which will begin to dissolve and rub off at the same time. If you don t have natural stone tile the easiest way to clean grout is with a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 1 part water.

Use a small firm brush to scrub grout lines. Do not force it. Start by holding the tool horizontally or vertically in the case of vertical seams turning on the power and lightly pressing the blade to the grout. Rinse the tile faces and grout joints with a sponge and clear water immediately after scrubbing each section.
