Dampen a clean microfiber cloth with warm water.
Clean grease off tumbled marble backsplash.
Find a soft bristled toothbrush or scrub brush to clean the crevices of the stone.
Rub the mixture over the greasy spots and wait at least 10 minutes.
Apply the paste in a thin 1 2 mm layer over the stained area with a brush or spatula.

Wipe down the backsplash with the rag.
Remember that an impregnating sealer will not completely waterproof your tile.
Ensure that it is completely dry before continuing.

The scrub pad will help loosen dirt without causing any scratches to the surface of the stone or leaving fibers behind.
In fact cleaning rags and paper towels often catch and snag on the rough stone.
Because stone is usually more textured than tile it can more easily accumulate grease.
The detergent works as a mild cleaning agent that breaks up grease and residue without causing damage to the travertine or grout on the backsplash.
Just in case we re applied sealer three coats to the backsplash ourselves.
Add 2 cups of water to a spray bottle along with 2 squirts of liquid dish detergent.
This removes dust as well as any splatters or dirt you may not have noticed keeping them from becoming more difficult to remove later on.
It will buy you time to remove any offending agents.
When you need to clean textured stone your best bet is to use a stone specific cleaner with a non abrasive scrub pad.
Go over the tiles with a clean wet sponge to wash away the paste.
